Zahrah Sheikh resurrected Fahmida Riaz at the National Poetry Library on 6 November 2019. Listen to the event podcasted here.

Zahrah Sheikh is a British Pakistani poet from Ilford and Barbican Young Poet Alumni. She is a member of the women of colour poetry collective OCTAVIA, founded by Rachel Young and supported by the Southbank Centre.

Sheikh's work has been displayed in St Paul's Cathedral and she has performed at at Heaux Noire, Boxed In and Rap Party.

She has worked with institutions like the Horniman Museum, the Barbican and Headway East London to deliver workshops and create exhibitions.
